Yes, I've been thinking about Plano or Flower Mound...

I am in the same boat as you are. With a lot of new construction going on, there is very less chance the prices in dfw will ever fall. My thinking is if you are waiting, then you would have to wait at-least a couple of years or more to see a slowness in over-all housing market. DFW has become a great place for people who cannot afford houses in CA etc. Its between how long you want to wait vs how soon you want your new home. When you want to sell, look for perfect market to sell, until then rent it out if you plan to move out of state. Look at frisco as well, it may be a 25-40 min drive with a 100-120$ toll per month but you may be able to buy a brand new home in excellent school area than old homes in plano where the inventory is already too low. And if you happen to get a new job in plano, frisco may be logically closer. good luck.
