I'm somewhat new to the area and am looking for a public park with different training stations, i.e., pull-up bars. Does anyone know of any around Plano/Frisco/Lewisville/The Colony

Any help would be great

Arbor Hills in Plano is a great park for working out. It's a nature preserve with paved & unpaved paths. There aren't really any workout stations per se, but I'm sure you could find lots of ways to work out there. Check it out when you have a chance!

Most of the parks in Plano have kid platform/slides and such with 'fireman' poles, not very high off the ground, maybe 7 feet. So you can use that to do pull ups. Many also have monkey bars, at various heights off the ground.

I don't think many of them have dedicated pull up bars if that is what you are after.

Not anywhere near there, but the new park along FM 423 in Little Elm (McCord) has slanted benches with foot bars to hook your feet under and do sit-ups. They also have a pull-up bar set next to that, and a disc golf course.

Had to laugh as I did a double-take when I read "Pull Up Bars"....I was wondering if Keller's Hamburgers had moved into Plano. LoL

There's a pull up bar at Keller Park in Uptown. You don't even have to park your car. Just pull up and order your beer right from your car, then drive on. No problem. Been there lots of times.

At first I thought you were asking about parks with drive-in alcoholic beverage providers, and thought "what a great idea!" Then I realized you were asking about exercise equipment.
