map showing Percent of Students meeting 2006 TAKS standards
http://www.lovejoyisd.net/Uploads/34...vejoy0207a.pdf
This is a slide from a powerpoint presentation (well, that's what it looks like to me). Takes a second to load, but it's a great map of the entire area and the percent of students meeting 2006 TAKS standards. It was on the Lovejoy ISD's website and part of some demographic presentation.
ETA - Well, it brings up the entire slide show. Look at page 16.

Your scores would look good too if you:
--successfully reduced the special education population from 12% in 2000 down to 6% now, the lowest in Collin Co.
--run off families iby reducing spending in learning difference programs from 14% in 2000 down to 8%, the lowest in Collin Co.
--run off families by having the lowest percentage of IEPs (Individual Education Plans) in Collin Co.

If Lovejoy ISD does not adequately fund or serve the kids with special needs (I have an ADHD son, for example) would you happen to know which school district does?
Thanks.....

I think one thing to keep in mind with maps or statistics like that is that they are an aggregate of the district. So a bad school could "hide" in a relatively good district and a good school could be "hidden" in a average district. It is less a matter about how the district does, than it is a matter about what the individual school does.
