Anyone have information or opinions on the best available private school for pre-k? Currently live south of Dallas in Cedar Hill but may move north very soon.

Check out the daVinci school. OUr kids have been going there for 2 years and we absolutely love it. Doesn't get any better than this in the Dallas area for academic excellence in pre-k.

Most of the kids who attend daVinci go on to Hockaday, St. Marks, Greenhill, Ursuline etc. It's a great place to start

We tried to get into daVinci about 12 years ago. They were taking six 3-year-olds and that was it. We were not one of the 6.

For Pre-K: da Vinci, Lamplighter, ESD

Hockaday (if girl) and Greenhill, but cant remember if these two start in Pre-K or K

dallas55: I saw you posted on my thread about Meadowbrook, but I thought I'd reply here as well.

We are friends with a da Vinci parent and a St. Alcuin parent who believe that Meadowbrook is on par with those schools. We're also friends with a Hockaday couple who speak very highly of it. By the way, their daughters went to Wesley Prep just down the street from Meadowbrook for pre-K and they had no problem getting into Hockaday for kindergarten.

Hope this helps. We really liked Meadowbrook on our tour, but there is just not a lot of information online about it.
