Well, hopefully this won't happen again and I won't have to call again...and they WILL forget me!

Default No Questions Asked? We'll Try to Extend Your Service - How 'Bout That?

Hey, has anyone ever tried changing phone companies and you tried to cancel service from one company, and instead of no questions asked, you'd get endless sales pitches?? That made me mad the other day. Makes you wonder what service is all about anymore.

Has this ever happened to you? If it has, or something similar to this has happened, can you share this experience?

Yup, it always happens! Utilities can be very aggressive when you change from the predominant company in the area to a competitor. It's not just in the US either; when I changed power companies in the UK it happened there too. I finally had to get pretty rude with them to get them to stop pestering me; they were calling every night around 7pm.

Both of my daughters have 101 degree fevers since last Friday!! They are miserable, no one is getting sleep. I had to miss classes this week and finals are only a week away. We went to the Dr. on Monday and they say its a virus but started the kids on antibiotics in case she missed something. I am the only one who is not sick thus far so you know that means I will get for finals week!

On top of that I leave for a conference tomorrow and my poor hubby, who is also sick, will have to take care of everything.
Needless to say, I am a little stressed right now and I needed to vent.
Thanks for reading!
Ugh, that's miserable. I'm so sorry! I hope everyone is on the mend soon, and you all get some much needed rest!

I've had the same experience. The only time my satellite has gone out, has been due to torrential downpours, and then only briefly, or when ice built up on it due to hail. Still, it's only for a short time.
