Our move is getting closer and unlike Palm Beach County in Florida where you can always register for aftercare at elementary school, LISD has a waiting list/lottery system! I was told that Liberty ES is full and its waiting list is full so I'm out of luck for my 1st grader. Plus I found out that the preschool that we loved and planned to enroll our little one does not pick up at Liberty so we're kind of stuck there too (when we had originally chosen this preschool, we were buying a house in that immediate area so at the time, they could pick up from the original ES, but that fell through and we found another house a bit further away).

We're not in the position to pick up from Liberty since my husband and I both work F/T. Anyone have any recommendations for aftercare options in the Wellington Estates area? Thanks!

Have you considered hiring a part-time nanny to pick your kids up from school and tend to them in your own home in the afternoon? Care.com is a good place to start looking- or recommendations from the elementary school PTA (usually there's a newcomer's committee chair who would be a good contact).

^^ Yeah that. I actually was an after school nanny to two kids who attended Liberty Elementary during my senior year "back in the day." See if you can find a Flower Mound High School senior who has senior out. It gave me time to go home for an hour and be there to meet the kids at the bus.

In the Wellington Athletic club hall, you might find some Ads. I see them regularly.
