I have a new rental property that needs flooring. Really tempted to use one of those seems to cheap to be true flooring guys that advertise on Craigslist for incredibly low priced engineered wood or tile floors. Anyone have any input on them? Or perhaps have any other good sources for great prices on flooring? I haven't been that happy with what I have used in the past couple of houses.....

You get what you pay for. The issue is often the thickness of the material, quality of surface, durability of the engineered materials under the surface. Some of the laminates are good quality, 11mm thick, etc. some are 6mm or less, with the material not much better than cardboard.

We were headed to the MidCities area on 121 the other day and there are lots of warehouse places you can walk in and buy flooring. Have you (or anyone else) checked those out? That might be out of the way for you. Off 121, E of 35 in FW.
