Anyone have any info on this builder? Ratings? Customer satisfaction? Do they build good homes? Pricing? I'm thinking of buying an existing home by them, but I don't know anything about this builder.

We are doing our research on this builder as well. I love their floor plans. They have a good reputation in Orange Cty, CA but I know nothing of them in TX.

K Hovnanian used to be known by three different "names": Goodman homes (upper tier), Diamond Homes (mid-upper) and Westminster Homes (I think...don't quote me on the name but it started with a W...entry level homes). My husband has been doing contract work with "Diamond and Goodman Series" for several years.Their homes are gorgeous!! I would move into one tomorrow. There was one model esp. that I JUST loved over in Murphy it was the Diamond Series and you could just walk in and see the quality of the workmanship in the home as well as the materials they chose. I would LOVE to live in a KHOV home but I haven't seen any here in the area I want to live in Stonebridge (I want to keep my kids in the school they're in now) Overall I have been impressed with their Diamond and Goodman homes series.

Every community depends on which builder they used to build their product to put their name on. KHOV when they were Goodman were the creme puff of the 3. I personally never ran into anyone that was dissatisfied with their product. I have sold many over the years in Texas. Their customer service level was very satisfactory as well.

However, there are always isolated incidents and cased where people are just not happy. The Better Business Bureau in Texas shows them having a satisfactory record in the last 2 years. However, before that you would have to check it under the other umbrellas, Goodman, Diamond and Emerald. Reliability Report

I found this on the Better Business Bureau web site:

The land north of Virginia Parkway between Stonebridge and Hardin (or where they're building Hardin out) will be KHOV. I've heard about a year before they start building, so that the bridge over Gray Branch Creek (I believe that's the name) can be built.

I'm very glad to hear they're going to be nice houses, since we'll be backing up to them soon!

JD Powers also has a survey on their web site of various builder ratings in the DFW area. Personal experiences are good - usually you will hear more from the unhappy people. However, nothing beats a survey that is statistically significant. Good luck.
