What is the commute from Heath to Dallas like, taking 80 west to 30 west? What would be the best time to leave Heath to minimize the commute? Thinking of moving to Heath, and have been checking my traffic app every morning this week. It appears that it jams up at Tenison Park Golf Course by 6:00am! This horrifies me. Do you know of a reason for this (perhaps the exit closure at Pacific Ave?) or is this the standard log jam? Also, my husband and I will be commuting together, so I should be able to take the HOV lane. Will that alleviate a lot of, or some of, the pain? Thanks!

Growth is really the reason and is causing the congestion. The HOV will definitely help a lot as long as you get on it by 9am and not before 3pm for the return.

Many people from Rockwall and Heath drive to Rowlett and take the DART. You won't have to worry about parking either. It's quick to get to it, 30 to George Bush TPK, take the second exit which is Main, turn left and you're there.

Welcome to Heath, we love it out here especially if you are on a lake lot.

Thank you so much, Naima. Great information. I'm kicking myself that I didn't look in Heath before. It is a beautiful town!

It seems as if the area is exploding with growth, and from what I'm hearing that will continue. Is that your opinion, too? I think the new State Farm complex in Richardson would bring many buyers, being so commutable right off the Bush TPK.

With a budget up to $500,000 (with a pool) $450,000 without, what is your opinion on the best area to be looking? Also considering building...where should I be looking to build within this budget?

Thanks for any insight you can offer!
