Anyone else have the same experience...and how did you handle it?

Also remember that your tolltag is "married" to one licence plate number. If your plate changed, or you got a new car and moved your tolltag without telling NTTA that can cause problems. The Tolltag doesn't always read correctly, and when that happens they take a picture of your license plate, look up the registered owner, and if it isn't on a tolltag account they send you a bill. If you are driving on a Tollway that still has tollbooths then it is considred a Violation and recieves those admininstrative fees. Violations that aren't paid become a matter for the courts, and you can get stuck for court costs, or have a warrent issued if you miss your date.
Just call NTTA and they can probably get it rectified for you.

Lakewooder,
Thank you, thank you. That article says it all. But Darn you, darn you...the article makes me realize what I am up against. BTW, it has been 3 days, and no response to my original email to NTTA.

All depends how you look at it. I'm a big fan of Jim Schutze but to make things sound ridiculous he often "explains" things in an odd way. Compare how he explained when you do and don't receive administrative fees to how it was explained to me.
"When there is a tollbooth at a plaza, so payment CAN be made, payment must be made, or it is considered non payment of a toll. When there is not a toolbooth as on 121 and The Wyclifff Plaza of the Dallas North Tollway, then you can drive through and an invoice for just the toll amount wil be mailed ot you" A lot of it is in how you phrase it.
The real problemis that all tollbooths are going to be converted to being like 121 and The Wycliff exit on The Dallas North Tollway, but haven't yet. Hopefully that will be finished soon and this won't continue to happen to people.

What about people from out of town who'll have to rent cars, or drive through with out-of-state tags? I've noticed the trend towards getting rid of tollbooths in many cities.
