Am interested in this community just opening in Flower Mound. Is the location too far out for shopping/restaurants?

That depends on what you consider too far. It will be a good drive (about 10 miles or so) from Canyon Falls to most of the shopping & restaurants in Flower Mound, which is along 2499. That said, the community you describe is only 5 miles to Roanoke, which has a cool downtown dining scene and a good collection of grocery stores (WalMart, ALDI, Tom Thumb, Albertsons).

I'm pretty sure things will continue developing in that area of Denton County, so it shouldn't be long before more commercial development comes to West Flower Mound or the I-35W corridor.

If we were looking in that area, I'd definitely consider it. At least the Argyle Schools portion

I know this is an old thread, but I am considering Canyon Falls as well. Did you make up your mind?

We are also looking into canyon falls but right now it seems very remote. I love the community but not sure how much time it will take to make that place lively. As per IT job prospective what will be the closes job market? from this area?
