So I've been doing as much research as I possibly can and right now, Post Eastside apartments seems to really be the perfect place for us. I have visited the area, checked for sex offenders in the area with this site, checked crime rate, and read reviews.

Not being from Texas and totally new to the area, I don't see anything that sticks out. Does any one have any opinion of the area in general? Anything that I should know about? Whether it's the complex, or the street area? It's on North Greenville and W Campbell for any one who is not familiar.

As for the reviews of the complex, I think it's okay. google reviews seems alright. They have some negatives, but either they were a long time ago, or were nothing that we can't handle.

I'm planning to sign on Monday. any last minute feedback? If any one lives in the complex or in the area or hear of anything recently, feel free to chime in. anything and everything is appreciated.

It's a growing complex, the low warehouses to the south west I believe is about to be bulldozed so it can be expanded.

Twisted Root burger is in there, it's pretty good although a bit on the expensive side. Only problem in my opinon is that it's kind of far from 'fun Dallas' meaning lower Greenville, Deep Ellum, uptown, etc, and it's a bit too far from the DART station to be easy to use, but other than that, it's a good place to live as any.

thanks! So just as a second choice (as the post east units I want don't appear to be available any more), What about brick row apartments on South Greenville and Spring valley road? I went there a couple weeks ago and first impression is that it's not as 'vibrant' as post east. Quality and style of units seems comparable (granite, open plan, etc). Staff seems alright and acceptable and nothing sticks out.

Reading reviews, there were mixed, but I really can't tell as nothing is too recent. The bad reviews were about rude service, but i've never had to interact with the apartment staff. There were some good reviews though too.

Any body have any recent thoughts on the apartment or area/streets? Right now, I'm debating between these 2, and brick can be had for around $100less per month.

I didn't get a chance to look all over the walkable area, but are there coffee shops or eateries in a walkable distance? I know they have some dental place, but thats all I saw. The good thing though, is that they walkable to the DART station. They also seem to be expanding with Brick Row North, so I'm wondering if that is a good thing.

I believe BrickRow is in a more isolated and traditionally residential area, so I'd say other than DART, it's less walkable than Post Eastside. Eastside has a solid mix of retail and residential.

What about Amli galatyn? A bit more expensive, but is it better in terms of area and apartments? Brick Row had a break in last week, so I"m still thinking about it.

I think you'd rather stay along Campbell or north of it if you're going to be renting east of 75 and west of Greenville. There's going to be a LOT of new retail at that new State Farm complex on Renner, including a brand-new Whole Foods.
