I thought I would post a few links to some articles about the Dallas area to help with some common misconceptions that many have about Dallas and our plants and trees. Recently someone asked about palm trees in Dallas, well, we have a large area just south of downtown that is home to a swamp and acres of native palms. To read more about it try this link:

The other thing to check out is the Great Trinity Forest. This is one of the largest native hardwood forests that is in a large urban city in this country. Right now there are plans to add an equestrian center and plans to add hiking trails for more people to experience this wonderful gem we have here in Dallas that many know nothing about.
