I know where to get fireworks in Parker County but that's kind of far to go. I've been led to believe that fireworks are illegal in Dallas County so I can't buy them here; are there any places to buy them in Collin or Denton County? We're going to a New Year's Eve bash in the country and fireworks will be involved.

Thanks!

I used to get fireworks out near the Fairview/Lucas area in Collin County, but that was several years ago. Most recently I have seen fireworks in Henderson County, by Cedar Creek Lake.

nD, here's a link to an old Dallas fireworks thread; seems like Rockwall may be the closest:

It's my understanding that it's illegal to even bring them back into the city. Not sure if any place is sellling them in Collin County because they are illegal here too. At least that's what I think. I know they are in Plano city limits.

I noticed a fireworks stand out at the corner of Parker and Murphy Rds in Parker the other day. Kitty corner from Southfork Ranch. Kind of surprised me because I thought it was only unincorporated areas of the counties that you could find them and that's certainly the main drag through Parker.

IIRC I used to see them on 75 past McKinney as well.

I think you can get some at a local walmart in Like Irving or Garland. My grandpa always brings me fireworks its like a Chinese thing, i explode them and no one says anything.
If the cop ask you what you are doing claim you didn't know.
There is a saying in the military that goes 'better to beg for forgiveness then ask for permission'

No, you can NOT buy fireworks at a Walmart not even in Irving or Garland. No fireworks may be purchased inside the most city limits and most including Irving AND Garland prohibit even using them or the possession of them w/in city limits.

Might also try going out Hwy 78 past Wylie and sometimes along 121 that is not in the city limits.

You mean places like Irving and Garland aren't lawless slums!!! That jut can't be, anyplace that isn't lily white and upper middle class must be anarchy.

You can get them out in Princeton off of 380 near Bridgefarmer road. I know we'll be popping our fireworks out in the country near Melissa.
