What are your thoughts on the mall's newest anchor? How has Dallas responded to its opening? Do you enjoy shopping there?

Eh, it's ok but there never seem to be any people in there. I was at the Galleria last Saturday and the mall was pack, Nordstrom (the next closest anchor in proximity to Belk) was packed, and there were literally NO customers in Belk's cosmetics dept (right inside the mall entrance). I think the merchandise is a little too Southern for Dallas.

When I used to go to one in Ala, it was just another Dillard clone.

It certainly is for me, can't speak for anyone else. The women's apparel is imo akin to Steinmart. Bright colors, lots of florals and glitz.
I haven't been to the Galleria Belk's, but my experience with those in other locations is that the customer service (sales assistance and checkout) in general is very poor. I quit going for that reason.

I definitely agree about the customer service. It's really lacking.
