Recently purchased a home and of course, new furniture. I need room sized rugs. While eBay is great, I'd like to find a place locally where I can actually see and touch them. Looking for great prices (I don't want to spend $1000k per room) and a varied selection, prefer Dallas area although I would venture to the mid cities area if the price was right. Suggestions?

We just bought one at Home Depot. You might try there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been to one here in McKinney. Do you suppose all stores have the same ones?

Believe it or not but "Target" sometimes has really good area rugs. Also have you tried places like "The Room Store", "Rooms To Go", "Pier One" or "The Dump"?

I'm not sure. Course, you have to beg to get customer service help getting the rugs down from where they keep them.

Thanks guys. I'll check some of those places out. I did find a rug at Target that was perfect but of course they didn't have the right size. It's sort of hard to find an 8x10 in the right colors. I hadn't thought about the Room Store or Rooms to Go. Thanks again.

Linens n things is a place I like a lot for small area rugs or huge ones. If you like the unusual, you can find some neat ones at World Market too.

Try JC Penney - or look online at their site, they have a large selection online and have great sales.

The Dump in Irving is pretty good, but you'll need to wait for them to get a shipment in on rugs.
