Grocery shopping steals and deals?
I've read the Favorite place for groceries? thread, but it doesn't really answer what I'm looking for.
I need to know the best place for good deals on groceries/normal household items. Overwhelmingly in that thread was WalMart for health and beauty. What other advice do you have?
I'm wanting to know things like, "Be sure to clip coupons and visit XYZ on Tuesdays for fish." Or, "LMN sells ground beef for 99c a lb between 7 and 7:30 PM." Or, "The HIJ Farmer's Market has awesome deals on winter squash and broccoli."
I happen to be in the far north east, but I'm sure others will benefit from the same type of info for all of Dallas. What is the insider circuit for normal household needs on a budget? Any other advice for steals and deals in the Dallas area? Thanks in advance!

Target.com has coupons on their site for Super Targets - it's on the bottom of the homepage.

My mother does the grocery game and loves it.
The Sisters of Savings are on Mix 102.9 every Friday bragging about the sales that weekend and how they get stuff for free. Their seminar is $150 and I would love to attend! http://www.sistersofsavings.com/

Thanks! That is currently out of my budget, but I could definitely turn the dial and tune in. Do you know about what time of day they are on? Nevermind. I saw on their website that it is 6:30 AM. Yikes!

Kroger and Tom Thumb triple coupons up to 39 cents, and double coupons up to 50 cents. Albertsons only gives you face value on coupons, but every once in a blue moon they will have a two or three day special where they will double up to $1.

Most grocers have specific days/times where they mark down their meats. If you ask the guys behind the meat counter, they will tell you what day and time is the best. One of the meat counters here in McKinney told me Thursdays after 3pm is the best day for bargains at their store. Even Market Street discounts their soon to be beyond sell date meats, including their specialty items like preseasoned cuts and bison.
I buy my bread and pizza crusts at a Mrs. Bairds outlet, there are others scattered around. And I can pick up specialty breads off the clearance rack at the back of the store in Albertson's or Wal-Mart. Market Street has a clearance rack near their bakery. For fresh fish, we used to go to Cap'n Dave's in Plano off Plano Pkwy and Alma.
