Thumbs up Want to Move to Texas

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I'm a 22 year old female in my last semester of Nursing school (RN) in Boston, MA. I have heard great things about Texas and would love to move to Dallas as soon as I'm done with school. I have a 3 year old son and would love some information about pretty much everything from which area to live, a good church, to a pre-school for my son, to medical centers I could work. I would love to buy a house but I would be living in an apartment for a few months until I get settled. Please help if you could.

-Thanks

Well, you shouldn't have trouble landing a job in the nursing field. It is highly in demand here. Determining where you will be working should be your priority because it will affect where you will want to live.

There are many good hospitals and there is another thread on this board titled nursing/RN with lots of good information.

You should find a church you like easily as there are about 5000 in Texas.

Visit first and then think about it more seriously. I'm not from here but I love it, others come here lured by cheap housing and don't. Don;t move to a place just because you read something good about it on the internet. Not to get too personal, but if the 3 year old's daddy is still in the picture I would hope you are not considering taking a little boy thousands of miles from his father.
