I did a regular maintenance at Honda dealer and got an additional repair items estimate from a dealer with a ridiculous price. I am sure non-dealer shop would do the same quality job but with a better price.

Where do Honda owners in Frisco/Plano/Allen/McKinney get their cars repairs and routine maintenance done besides dealership?

I am looking for a shop who can take care of my repairs this time and continue for future service maintenance.

What kind of repair are you wanting done? If you used to go to Honda Cars of McKinney, they are EXTREMELY over priced. I used them for awhile when I had a Honda. Even John Eagle in Dallas had better prices.

requires some fluids change and need to fix a minor transmission issue. I serviced my car in McDavid in the past only, but it sounds like after my 5 years of extended warranty expired they immediately started showing at least $500 problems every time when I visit them for a service. So I have started believing that they are looking for extra profit with a large $$ repairs.

I want to avoid going to dealerships in future but rather find a reliable local shop who knows how to do repair/regular maintenance of Honda vehicles.

I have the opposite experience, McKinney for me was the less expensive , the nicest service and they take coupons from other dealers. I also had a good experience in Frisco, it is busier , but they are very accommodating and their prices are fair. The only one I avoid is Lute Riley in Richardson , they are expensive and rudest with the customers ,they are so bad that cannot keep their employees very long, and will always push you for extra repairs.

I agree that the people at McKinney are extremely friendly. But when I take my car in because of an SRS light, I'm not paying you all a diag fee on something that by law is covered under warranty for the life of the car (seat belts & airbags).

Ive taken mine to Atuomotive ER in Frisco but also heard good things about Frisco Automotive (both near downtown Main Street). Also heard good things about Allen Car Care. A lot of my neighbors use them.

I have never had a major repair at McKinney Honda but I did frequently get emails from them for free oil changes. Hands down this facility has the best customer service of any auto dealership shop I have ever experienced. They would take any coupon for service no questions asked and their prices on general maintenance items are awesome. I actually don't think I ever had to pay for an oil change there due to using coupons and this always included a complimentary car wash. I once had a very minor issue and they fixed it without charge.

I have been going to Honda Cars of McKinney for several years and I never heard of "free" oil changes. I do get coupons with $$ off on regular price which brings down the price but never free. I go there because they also do a inspection on the car and suggest any issues and I get a free car wash. I do agree that their customer service is awesome and their pricing is reasonable.
