Has anyone ever used DirectBuy, I think it's located in Carrollton. How are the products? Is it worth the membership fee?

Probably not unless you are ordering for multiple houses.

Do a google search on Direct buy and their membership fees first before you pay them anything. You will see tons of unhappy people.

We had a membership. We were able to save a good bit on a glass curio normally selling for 1500 at the better stores and we got it for 600. We also purchased wedding invitations for a fraction of the cost at retail stores selling the same merchandise.

I however, would only consider a membership if you knew you were going to use it on a regular basis or like the other poster mentioned you have several properties or are doing a major flip.

I don't think in the grand scheme of things it was in our best interest as we were paying out monthly and not using it but sparingly. My ex purchased his 52 inch tv prior to us being a couple and he says he saved a great deal on the tv at the time. Oh, and one other thing...it took a while to get our glass curio. Longer than I think it would of taken coming from a major retail store and it didn't look the same (color wise) as in the catalog we had to select it from in the showroom.

If you decide to go with DB, I think there is one off of 121 Tollroad in Lewisville near the mall as well.

I think going with them is entirely a personal choice and whether you think you would reap the benefits as they state you can. We liked our purchases it just didn't pay off for us overall. Good luck with your decision.

A friend of mine is building a house and has joined. They've gotten better deals elsewhere, but only after a lot of looking. They said they'd only do it for a new house or major remodel.

My wife and I took the tour and sales presentation. The membership is about $5K which we probably wouldn't recoup since we were not remodeling or building a house. A friend of ours had a bad experience with ordering a sofa which took them over a year for delivery.
