I contend that one can very easily survive (without a bunch of kids) on 58,240 dollars per year.

The Observer is twisting facts, demogoguing, and playing on the emotions of entitled far-left liberals, while capitalistically selling lots of advertising space?

SAY WHAAAAAAAAAAT!?

Someone at least needs to tell all the housekeepers of all the hotels making less than $28/hour (but somehow finding an apartment in Dallas to live in) they are **GETTING...RIPPED...OFF***! THE OBSERVER SAID IT'S SO...!

Too many details left out.

Are the median income figures for a household or per capita. 2 person-2 income households (either roommates or romantic partners) often have it better than 1 person-1 income households. It is easier for 2 income earners to outearn 1 income earner.

Debt? When you don't make as much money, it is easier to live when you are not making car or education debt payments.
