I just cleaned out the home and have a few gently used household items and clothes that I would like to donate. I am looking for something in the Plano area that I can either drive to, or will drive to where I live to pick up.

Call Catholic Charities of Dallas. When we moved we donated good furniture and household items and they were so grateful. The group that picked up the items were so polite, showed up when they said they would, and thanked me for the donation, specifically mentioning how in need of the good condition furniture/ house stuff they are. Made a very positive impression. Now, this was Catholic Charities of Fort Worth but hopefully Dallas is as well run as FW.

Christian Community Action in Lewisville puts all their donations up either for gift to the truly needy or for a ver small price through their own storefront. They do a lot of good.
