I could change it to... "crew757" or something...

At any rate, didn't really want to leave McKinney, but found a deal on a house that we just couldn't pass up that had almost everything on the wish list. An equivalent home in McKinney would be just too expensive.

Plan is to stay out there for 5-6 years, but considering how much stuff is slated to be built in the next year or so around 380 and Preston, we may change our minds and stay longer if enough retail and such gets built.

Anyway, just wanted to share.

Thanks everyone!

It'll be less convenient for shopping and dining out, that's for sure, but with a 1 yr old, we don't go out to dinner much anymore anyway. We got really lucky... previous owner was in bankruptcy proceedings and they really didn't care how much they got for the house, because all of the proceeds were going to pay creditors anyway. Ended up purchasing the house for far less than what it appraised for. We were the first people to see the house, and we made an offer about 2 hours later which they accepted. Apparently they got 4-5 other offers that night/next morning but they were too late.

My wife is quitting her job in a few months and since I work from home, the little extra distance away from things isn't really a problem for us.
