Hi,

Anyone moved from Irvine, CA to Plano ? If anyone can share their high school (Irvine High/Uni High vs. Jaspser & Plano West) comparison information, I will be grateful. We are planning to move this summer from Irvine and any information to prepare my son will be helpful. He will be starting 9th grade next summer.

Thanks in advance.

I cant help as far as High School comparrisons go. Irvine is to LA what Plano is to Dallas though. They are alike in so many other ways.

There are 2,600 kids in University HS (grades 9-12). There are 1600 kids in Jasper (grades 9 and 10) and 2,700 kids in Plano West (11 and 12 grades). So, there are at least 800 kids starting 9th grade and lots of clubs for your son to join - I would contact the school about activities he might be interested incase they have meetings/events during the summer that he can begin participating in once you get here. I know our HS school has marching band activities throughout the month of June and then start back up the 1st week in August. Other clubs meet throughout the summer as well (we're big on FFA where I am).
