My first post. I've done a little searching and haven't found an answer to my exact question.

We have found several small lots (.25 to .5 acre) in southwest Flower Mound, close to Lake Grapevine, and are considering building there. The neighborhoods are older, smaller homes, and we would be building something small (~1800SF) and decidedly not luxury quality. How much should we expect to pay to build on our own lot? Any suggestions for builders who do non-luxury construction on your own lot?

Any input is appreciated.

I'm sure there are a bunch of smaller builders in the area, but out of the production builders, you may want to look into Drees as they have a BYOL program.
