Hello,

We are trying to decide our Vent hood for kitchen cook top. We will have white cabinets with stainless steel appliance.

Option#1 (standard) Kitchen Aid stainless steel
Option#2 (upgrade) Wood Vent with Best liner.

We like the look of wood vent but not sure if Best liner is better than Kitchen Aid. Also worried about if the white wood vent gets dirty quickly or not.

Anyone has any recommendations?

If you have a strong 1200 cfm blower, vent shouldn't get dirty. However I assume with white color comes the responsibility of cleaning regularly (we have it too).

Nothing extraordinary. Just cleaning regularly works.

it's a matter of aesthetic preference. We have a wood hood and love the look. Inside has the stainless steel lining that can be cleaned.

Thanks.

What kind of steel linning do you have? Are you happy with the performance as far venting out cooking odors?

1200 cfm is approaching commercial grade. It will create low pressure in the area and will require forced entry air to compensate. I think 600 cfm is enough for residential purposes.
Also, the steel depends on overall aesthetics of the kitchen. For example, steel will look odd in the second pic you had put...
