Thanks. I signed up today with Gexa. I'll be honest I never got an idea the "TDU" was set. I thought I could pick that too. :-/. I just went with a six month fixed rate so I can see how much energy this new house uses. I figure it'll be end of summer and maybe pricing will drop a little then too.

There is absolutely no difference in the reliability, service, etc. It all comes from Oncur. Pick the cheapest fixed rate for your consumption. Make sure the term gets you through August because that is when the peak pricing is and you don't want to be renewing then. Watch when your contract is up because they will jack your rate. Always go back to PTC and find the best rate don't just take your current providers 'offer'. In 8 years I have never seen a renewal offer that was as good as I could get somewhere else. What the providers do is offer good rates on PTC and pull in customers. Then they jack the rates after their contract ends hoping people are too lazy to shop around again.

I moved from Florida too and was not used to so many choices! We ultimately went with Bounce Energy

We've used a lot of them. We switch every 4-6 months to get the lowest rate for their introductory period, then move on!
