Its my understanding that if you are serviced by Coserv you have no other options. They provide gas and electric.

Depends on the area. In some areas, CoServ is the only provider, in other they share.
We've had CoServ for years and been fine with them. They are going to serve our new house, even though we have a choice of providers for that one.

Ah, that explains it. We are in an area with no choice but have been fine with Coserv. Minimal outages and usually very short when they do go out.
