My wife, 3yo & I are possibly moving to the Irving area in September. She will be working at Williams Square on O'Connor Road, We are going to be moving into an apartment for the 1st year. What areas are good to move into? Can anyone recommend a good apartment?

I can't give you specific complexes, but that's right in the middle of Las Colinas, which is a really nice area. Anything within 5 miles of Williams Square should be just fine. Your budget isn't at the top of the scale, but it should get you a decent apartment.

Yeah, it's a great living, shopping, and working area. I've worked in Williams Square, the center building. I think on the 9th floor. Great view. Probably not near a lot of lunching places though there was a good Chinese there.

Irving is "known" for having an abundance of apts. You will have no problem finding one but may have a problem finding a 3br for $1200 or less. some of the older units off of oconner, (close to williams square) may be in that range. If you want newer with covered parking, highly recommended due to the heat and hail, you can find within 10-15 mins of williams square.

crlascolinas.maac.com
lavillitaapts.com

There is also an area called Valley Ranch that has lots of apts and single family homes that should meet your needs!!

There are very few 3 BDR apts in the area.
You can get a 2 BR apt close by for 1300.
Try mission at La villita, Amli at Lavillita. They are 3 miles away on Royal Ln but good value compared to newer apartments in Las Colinas.

Thanks for all the suggestions, As long as it is within an hour commute I think that would suffice.

You don't want to commute an hour each way (and take away valuable time you could spend with your family), and there really is no good reason to do that.

Look in Euless, which is west of Irving. There will be more apartments in your price range there. I misread that you want a 3 bedroom, not a 2 bedroom.

The Commute to the office would only be once a month, rest of the month working from home. I've seen some great looking places so far but then I go onto apartment ratings .com and the reviews are just terrible, from just bad management to all sorts of different crime related items from cars getting vandalized to apartments getting broken into, It's just now one place either it seems like everyone is bad. But I think we have found one that might work, it's within WESTDALE HILLS in the sawgrass complex.
