How would this compare to the Legacy West project in Plano?

Same amount of land, but I think Legacy West is closer to 2 billion.

This has been part of the plan the entire time. Once the Cowboys committed, Frisco Station fast forwarded their plans dramatically. I wasn't real excited about giving jerry a pass to move here, but it seems to be a good move economically for Frisco. For some reason there are quite a few corporations and businesses that want to be near Cowboys HQ development, It beats me but whatever, keeps my tax rate the lowest in Collin County so I'm good.

I do not like either of these projects. Both to me are tearing up good prairie land. I would rather see a denser core city instead of endless suburban sprawl.

All the people who want to see a denser core city will move there if they can afford it. Then if the core city feels like it is too dense, they will stop issuing building permits.

Dallas overran good prairie land and so did Chicago. So did farmers of downstate Illinois and throughout the Midwest. Chicago and Dallas also have in common that once you get away from the core city, there are blocks and blocks of SFR which look a lot like the inner ring suburbs, and in the case of Dallas, some outer suburbs.

Frisco is calling the mile of Parkwood between Warren and Lebanon the "5 Billion Dollar Mile". However, the Dallas Cowboy complex is on the other side of the DNT.

I think you're getting Parkwood confused with the DNT. The $5B Mile includes the Cowboys and Frisco Station

The $5 billion dollar mile took off quicker, as much as I hate to say this, because of mini Jerry world. Most of this was in planning stages prior, Frisco didn't go after Nebraska Furniture Mart so they could get Jerry. Seems to be paying off, by the way, all of these developments are dense. So if you want dense development, here it is, it's just not in downtown Dallas. I do agree with the interminable spread of city into the prairie though. With Celina staged to be the next Frisco, I'm afraid that the trend will continue.

I hope there are considering building more freeways...the traffic jams will be of epic proportions...they are horrible now. It took me an hour in the morning from Stone Brook Parkway to Spring Valley....and that was leaving the house at 640AM. Getting home is almost 2 hours. Less than 20 miles each way.

2 hours lol... That's a complete exaggeration for every day commuting. I live in PCR and my office is in Uptown.

They're not "freeways", but both the DNT and Bush are starting their expansion this year. One additional lane isn't much, but it's better than nothing.
