We have Farmers for home insurance on a rental property in NE Richardson, it was appraised for $350K and Farmers is asking for $2900/year. I'll get other estimates but just want to know how much others are paying. There is nothing special or alarming like flood zone or anything.

Depends on the age of the home and credit history. I have a 2004 home with 165000 in coverage and I pay about $800 per year.

We pay about $1400-$1500 for a house around $300K in Richardson. I would shop around and ensure you're doing an apples to apples comparison and going with a reputable company (most you've heard of are). You'll probably be able to find a better deal. A lot of insurance carriers in Texas aren't very profitable on the homeowner's side of things and some quotes you get reflect the fact that they don't really want to do HO business in the first place unless packaged with other policies.

I have Liberty mutual for my home and auto insurance and we paying 107$/mth for a $350K house. The best quotes will always be if you bundle home, auto.
