Hi all,

I want to upgrade my currently installed CFL ceiling lights to LED. One of the main reason I was to get this done is to be more energy efficient and for better brighter light. One thing I hate about the CFL light is that it takes a bit of time to warm up and the lights aren't brighter as I turn them on initially.

I am looking for a good lighting installation company that can get this installed for me. I need suggestions/recommendations of any company if anyone have used them before and recommend highly.

Thanks

Jacob

Here's how we did it...we went to Home Depot, bought LED bulbs, changed the CFL bulbs out for the LED ones, and recycled the CFLs at Home Depot.

HTH.

^^^^ What she said.

If you're not changing the housings or anything, you just have to swap the bulbs. Easy peasy.

Costco has pretty good prices on LED Bulbs.

Can you not get a ladder and one of those Bulb rods and do it yourself? They just screw in like a regular bulb.

We found great 60w LED bulbs at Home Depot for $2.50 a pop. How much are the ones at Costco?

I bought mine at least a year ago and don't recall. They seem to be coming down in price monthly.

It cost me several hundred back then to do my main areas. I still use the CFL is some of might lighting and will replace when they go kaput.

I would like to change the housing to give the entire fixture a new look.

I have used the bulb rods and they don't seem to work well for me. The other option I have is to buy a ladder big enough before I try replacing the bulbs

You are going to find this very expensive with the new fixtures.

Did you try the one with the suction cup ends?

I'll have to check 'em out next time I go. I remember Sam's prices on LED bulbs didn't blow me away at all.
