How good is the Chinese food in Plano compared to southern california? Also, I heard summers are extremely hot. Which months are good to go outside for walks?

Chinese food: not great compared to Houston, so it's not even in the same ball park as southern cal. Selection in Plano is slim, prices high (compared to Houston), and quality is just not quite there.

Are you from southern cal? Yes, summers are brutal here, and will take some adjusting if you've lived all your life in cali. you can do outdoor activities, but you'll just need to do it early morning or after 7pm, but it'll still be quite a bit warmer conditions than southern cal.

My favorite Chinese place is Little Sichuan Cuisine near 75 & Legacy by the Jusgo supermarket and the Asian food court. From talking with Chinese co-workers it's fairly authentic and I loooooove the dishes that use lots of peppers.

You won't have the sheer number of Chinese restaurants that you have in California. But there are good ones around. I like First Emperor in Richardson.

Agree with this. Any time I have gone, at least half the cliental is Chinese and usually large parties taking up the large round tables.

All months are good for walking. Just, in July and August, like now, you will want to walk early in the morning or late in the evening. While we have had only a couple of 100* days, the humidity has been high and the overnight low temp is only about 80*.

We walk almost every day; before 8am is our preferred time in summers.
