North Richland Hills
I am considering moving from Ohio to the Dallas area and was interested in the North Richland Hills area, would like to know any feedback on this area. We just have one child/toddler, school system will be very important. Will be possibly working in Grapevine. Any feedback would be appreciated!!

You might also want to try the FT Worth subforum as North Richland Hills is more of a Ft Worth suburb.

I lived there about 10 years ago, in apartments. It's a nice little town, but aging. There have been some commercial developments, but your houses will generally be older.
Traffic on 820 is horrible, at all times. (We take it out to my mom's house still and it's bad even on weekends.) It is closer to Fort Worth, but still pretty central. And once you get to 183 or past 35, it's fairly easy to get places. Lots of shopping around.
If you're looking for something a little more upscale, try Southlake.

NRHills has more new construction than the poster knows about--there are several new housing developments going in and some that are done--prices are about 300K plus and more around 400K--
traffic might be bad on 820 but there are other routes
you should check the Fort Worth forum and just do a search...lots of info there...
ISD--Birdville/Keller/and HEB (I think) are all in North Richland Hills area--just depends on subdivision...

I know I sound like a broken record about Trophy Club, but check it out. Wonderful small community and just down 114 from Grapevine.

I really like the layout and feel of N. Richland Hills. There is a ton of new development also. They seem to have a great city rec dept. which is always nice. It's definitely one of our top choices, along with Hurst or Keller, when we finally buy a house in the next year or 2.

I really like NRH as well. Great retail, convenient to everything, beautiful new houses, local community college (TCC NE campus) and great water park NRH2O. Lots of trees and good schools.

I too like NRH and yes there is ALOT of new and newer housing in there. A big masterplanned community there is called "hometown" alot of young families. Aslo Glen Forest is a big neighborhood off of north Tarrent and is zoned for Keller schools.
NRH has lots of community services. It's in a convienient location for Grpaevine, Colleyville, Southlake etc....

for the same size and condition of houses...we found Grapevine to be more expensive than NRH.
so that maybe why the OP was interested in NRH.
