Hello,

It's that time of the year for me. My home insurance renewal is up. I need to shop around before I renew my existing policy. I had to create a new thread because the old posts had DM requests and I'm not sure if the users are still around. Can you DM me your recommendations?

Thanks,
fw

Try progressive, esurance, allstate etc. If you bundle up your auto and home, you might get discounts.

I hear a lot of people using Goosehead. We have them and had to make a claim, they were ok. Watch that they do charge a "start up" fee of some sort which we weren't happy about, but they were still the cheapest.

Find an independent agent and let them shop the market for you.

Goosehead is just an independent agency that hires inexpensive poorly trained college grads to sell people cheap policies from a lot of unknown carriers. You're better off finding any other independent agency that will do a much better job.
