Just curious... where do you work and what do you do here in Dallas? I've only been here a year and I haven't found any work relating to my degree. I want to see what others do in the Big D!

off topic but is it easy to get into this field. I have just moved from NY and I have a degree in HR. I don't know where to start from. I want to get into healthcare HR. How easy/hard it is to get into this field in Dallas?

You have to be willing to start in a lesser role, like an HR Assistant or Recruiter, or in a lower prestige facility. I started in healthcare in 2006 as a Recruiter in a retirement community, then I was the HR Manager at a nursing home for several years.

Do contract work! Not only will it give you some income, but it also helps you get experience and may lead to a job.

Also, network like crazy! There are three SHRM chapters in DFW, and they are a great place to start. Attend luncheons, talk to people, and make connections.
