Agreed. Liberty is doing really well when it comes to National Merit Sholarship, at same level as Plano East and much better than Allen High. Unfortunately, no other Frsico school is producing even 50% NMFS as Liberty, not even the established ones like Frisco High. It's sad considering Frisco's affluent demographics.

I'm out of touch on High Schools rating, and really hope the other high schools (other than Liberty) such as Centennial HS can do as well ! because my house is zoned right in there !

Watch Independance HS, they will come up as fast as Liberty , it's brand new but the students are the same.

Well, there is always a chance that any school can go up or down in 5-10 years but we are talking about statistics for recent years. Parents whose kids are going into middle or high school now would like to pick schools according to recent performance instead of gambling on long term predictions. That may work for people with elementary school children.

With Frisco, I think it's always in flux. I always heard about 2 years ago, Wakeland high school was the place to be. Now I hear Independence or Liberty is. Kind of funny to watch.

When I keyed in two different addresses in the following :
2016-2017 Zones

although both addresses zoned to the same Wester middle school, but one will zone to Independence HS and the other will zone to Centennial HS. Not sure how accurate is that website, but just find it strange to have same middle school that could feed to different HS.

Frisco is a growing city with a huge school district and too many schools so zoning and rezoning is going to be an issue until they are completely built out or may be a part of life as demographics changes. It would take at least 5-10 years for district to settle. Once schools get older than repairs of that many buildings is going to be another pain in the a$$. Small school pilosophy doesn't work well for districts of this size.

No, Vandeventer MS has also two HS feeders, Liberty and Independance.

We don't have a "pure feeder" in GCISD either.

Don't sweat over feeders as it's going to change at least two three times in next 10 years.
