Hello All,

Now that there is one sticker for us here in Texas, does this we don't have to go in for State Inspections anymore? Everywhere it states "Your vehicle inspection status will be verified electronically". How does that happen?

My inspection expired this month. And registration renewal is next month.

No. You still need to go for an inspection and they will send results electronically (and give you a paper copy). Once that is done, you can renew online.

No, vehicle inspection requirements are still the same...the state is just no longer issuing a separate inspection sticket.

Ah! I was thinking on that line. But just wanted to confirm!

Does this mean state inspections cost less now? Coz the renewal fee also has a inspection fee included in it.

I just moved to the state and had to get both cars inspected.

Cost $25.50 each.
They guy told me it is electronic, but I still had to provide paper proof at the Tax office when registering the cars.
