Green Mountain is usually more expensive that most due to some of it's energy coming from renewable resources. We use Green Mountain per my wife and haven't had any issues. Though in Plano I thought it was all handle by COSERV?

Plano is NOT handled by CoServe. I suggest using the power to choose website like the poster above mentioned.

All are good. Since they all have different prices that change by the week the best thing is to look on power to choose and pick the one that has the best rate for this week that you can lock in for an extended term.

I've used Gexa, Pennywise, Champion Energy Services, and Tri Eagle. Didn't have any problems with any of them. For a power outage, they all give you Oncor's number to call anyway. They all have different terms, but generally speaking the service is the same, so just compare price.

CoServ may be in some of the newer areas of Plano. They are in select neighborhoods scattered everywhere. My old house in McKinney did not have them, but my parents in SBR do. I have them in Prosper.

Not a big fan, their rates are higher than ~75% of providers from what I've seen.

It does reach into Plano, just doesn't cover all of Plano. When we lived in Plano, we had CoServ.

Clearwater Creek apartments are Plano ISD but they are located inside Richardson boundary. Your zip code is 75082 and ONCOR is your main provider. Your best choice for power provider would be Gexa Energy. Their contract is 7 month long and 4.9 c/ kWh if you spend between 500-1,000 kWh. Their number is 866-329-4392. If you want 12 month contract then for your needs, power express has 6c/1,000 kWh plan. Their number is 877-400-0232.

For further information, enter zip code at website mentioned above and look at different options available to you.
