Look, it's clear you're a Parish parent / student/ employee/ admin. Parish is certainly on a rapid ascent in Dallas private school land, but I don't think it's leaped over ESD yet, at least not when measuring senior class vs senior class. I do think they are in the same league though with Parish continuing upward and ESD holding put.

Class of 2015 comparison:

ESD 6/104 (5.8% of class) + 12 commended (11.5%)
Parish 1/90 (1.1% of class) + ? commended (can't find info)

Class of 2014 had 6 at ESD and 3 at Parish.

SAT Distribution
Math: ESD 20 (32%)
Reading: ESD 10 (16%)
Math: ESD 27 (44%)
Reading: ESD 35 (56%)
Math: ESD 15 (24%)
Reading: ESD 17 (27%)

Parish 25-50% percentile:
Math 550-700
Reading 530-640

It's a little difficult to compare the different stats released, but for Math, the top 32% of ESD is scoring the same as the top 25% at Parish (700+). The math mid 50% at ESD is scoring in the 600-mid 700 range vs 550-700 at Parish. The reading mid 50% at ESD is scoring 600-699 vs 530-640 at Parish. Clearly, ESD seniors are coming out a good 50 points ahead of Parish seniors.

% of student with a passing grade on AP exams (3+)
ESD 89% (2.54 exams taken per AP student)
Parish 74% (no info provided on # of AP tests or AP students)

AP Classes Offered
ESD - 26
Parish - 16 (does not offer Chinese Language, Physics II, World History, Art History, Music Theory, Government & Politics, x 2 Economics x 2, Studio Art x 2)

College Matriculations
Still much stronger at ESD: Amherst, Boston College, Colby, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Davidson, Duke, Emory, Georgetown, Harvard, NYU, Northwestern, Pepperdine, Pomona, Rhodes, Rice, Stanford, UNC, Tufts, Tulane, UChicago, Notre Dame, UPenn, UVA, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, W&L, WashU, Yale

Parish: Duke, Harvard, NYU, Pepperdine, Rhodes, Stanford, Tulane, UChicago, W&L, WashU
