Maggiano's Little Italy is one of the places you can get a great Thanksgiving meal. They are usually open.

I just wondered how the food at any of those actually tasted since for most of them it is not a normal meal

Last year we went with 4 friends to Cracker Barrell. They enjoyed it; we did like the fact that it wasn't a buffet so there was a level of portion control. But just not what I really seek in Tkgvng.

We will be alone this year unless we roll up our sleeves and get busy planning something.... kids are all doing stuff with the in-laws.

Anxious to hear suggestions on this thread!

There are many fine dining options for Thanksgiving. Obviously quite the step up from lowly Luby's, but I've had Thanksgiving dinner at III Forks and it was quite nice.

** Edit -- Just realized you said not too formal (oops!).

We've done Black-Eyed Pea a couple of times. Their sister, Dixie House, is another option.

That is one meal we have never eaten in a restaurant. What about Buttons in FW- I think they have done Thanksgiving in the past in the restaurant and my mom has gotten sides from there that were good when she hosted. That's my poorly worded way of saying, we didn't eat there but has thanksgiving food from there! Please update after the big day and let us know what yall did!
