Can't believe this thread is not longer than it is.

Surface has been barely scratched. So many options available in the Dallas area in regards to a particular ethnic cuisine and the available permutations...no right or wrong opinion!

love the crawfish boil. Problem is the line is at least 2-3 hours long if you are not there at the open.

Dickey's Barbecue (no Q) - Henderson Ave. OR Sonny Bryan's. Is Roscoe White's Greasy Way still in business?

Desperados - Greenville

Mariano's - Skillman and Abrams

Kirby's Steak House - Greenville

El Fenix - N.W. Hwy or the old El Chico just N. of Woodall Rodgers

Is Dan's Lakewood Café still there?

How about Javier's on Knox/Cole/Monticello/whatever it calls itself at that weird intersection? Are they still there?

Snuffer's for burgers - Greenville - passed it the other day and it IS still there.

Went to Malai last weekend (first time) and really liked it. I'm usually wary of fusion stuff but it was excellent, imo. Interesting take on IPA (sorry, Thai-PA). because of the location I was not sure it would be spicy enough, but after I requested the maximum, it was plenty spicy. We'll go back.

The places I miss the most in the Dallas area are:

-Bangkok City and Asian Mint for Thai
-That one Singaporean restaurant where we used to get curry crab--Red Lion maybe?
-Abacus
-La Duni
-Fuel city tacos and elotes

Lots of good pizza places, too.

Italian
Two Guys From Italy
Webb Chapel and Forest
They've been there since 1977/78 and for good reason.
Yeah, they've got seriously funky decor, but it's part of the charm.

Ethiopian
Queen of Sheeba
Inwood Rd
Addison
(unfortunately, the QoS just south of Turtle Creek has long since closed)

Mexican
Su Casa
Matlock Rd
Arlington/Mansfield

Barbeque
David's Barbeque
2224 Park Row
Arlington
(runner up: Marshall's BBQ in Farmers Branch at Josey and Valley View)

Guilty pleasure
Pancho's!
(Go ahead, crucify, excoriate, do what thou wilt...)
