A flannel shirt is not Plaid shirt.

A flannel shirt is more like jacket people in logging and construction wear or grunge fashion and 80's and 90's rock bands. Bigger and more baggy a more jacket like than shirt.

A Plaid shirts not tucked in or open does not mean it is flannel shirt.

The hipster wearing plaid shirts like some pictures posted of people in Dallas. Plaid shirts not tucked in or open is more hipster think.

Borderline but would not really call this flannel shirt has in logging and construction wear or grunge.

It more borderline.

A flannel shirt is more jacket like.

You were in Dallas for two days. Why are you arguing with people who live in Dallas about what people in Dallas wear?

A flannel shirt is a flannel shirt regardless of whether it is on a construction worker or a hipster and regardless of whether it is tucked or untucked.

No it NOT just me, there are hundreds of threads here of people commenting on people going to Dallas noticing a culture difference in how people dress.

You honestly believe people in Dallas dress the same as people in Houston or San Diego?

Flannel is a material not a pattern on a button down shirt.

No people don't really wear baseball caps or flannel shirts in Dallas.

People in Dallas don't dress that casual at all. Dallas casual is polo shirts, collar shirts, button up shirts, dress pants, work casual pants, khaki pants and dress up jeans.

Hardly anyone wears shorts. And people that do it normally khaki shorts or cargo shorts.

It not any where like LA or Houston that is way more casual.

Here is example what people in Dallas dress like.

Yes malls, stores, fast food and restaurants!! Every where.

Dallas is way more dressier than LA and light light years over Houston and most other cities in the US.

You stand out driving SUV or a soccer moms van around Dallas.
LOL you wish

"That people in Dallas dress up when they leave [the] house"...

I lived in Dallas 44 years, and I can definitely say that I never left the house naked. I'm a guy, so I have always worn pants (long or short) and a shirt, pretty much every single time I left the house. My wife (she's a gal) I am certain has also worn clothing every time she left the house.

I personally recommend wearing clothing. It keeps the sun (or the cold wind) off you, and it prevents other people from having to observe your naked body.

As far as the racial component, I can also safely say that I have never seen a naked African American, Hispanic, or Asian person on the street in Dallas.

You know when it comes right down to it I don't believe I've ever seen a naked person in public in Dallas. So there!
