Default The Colony, live by water or woods?

Is it possible to live in The Colony and still live by either by water or woods? I am moving from Connecticut and have lived around these things all my life. I would settle for one or the other if possible but would get very depressed moving into a neighborhood without either one for my view. My choices of towns are limited, because I'm moving down there to babysit a new grandchild while the parents work. Thanks!

I'm not sure you will find any woods near The Colony. You will find a lake but not much of one as the water levels are often low in that area. You might want to look into Grapevine or FlowerMound area as far as lakes go.

There are a few places in The Colony where you can find houses with that type of view. The Stewarts Peninsula area of town is on the shore of Lake Lewisville, with some houses backing up to the lake, golf course, or wooded areas. Some houses in the Ridgepointe area back up to the lake as well, but the view isn't as good. Also in Ridgepointe, there are quite a few houses that back up to a heavily wooded creek and have scenic, shady backyards.

Overall, though, your choices in The Colony will be limited.
