Default Best Neighborhoods in Frisco

We are relocating to Dallas in May with our 2 kids, ages 8 and 10. We want a neighborhood that is full of kids! We are very social and love to have block parties and have our kids playing with their neighbor friends outside. Also, green belts would be awesome as we have a Golden that loves to run. We looked at Frisco this week and it seems very family oriented. Just wondering if certain neighborhoods are better for us. I would hate to buy on a street with no children. Any opinions?

My husband and I recently bought a house in Grayhawk Estates and LOVE IT!!!!! There are tons of kids, a lake where you can fish, 2 swimming pools and a 164 acre park will be across the street in a couple of years. An elementary and middle school are being built on the edge of the neighborhood right now and a high school will be built soon.

Look at the Trails of West Frisco. We have friends that live there and like it very much.

Hunters Creek & Turnbridge are very nice laid-out communities with on site Elem school, playgrounds & 2 community pools. The subdivision has mature trees & trails through out. The HOA is vry strong with block parties, events & gatherings. Good builders-Highland Homes, Landstar & Drees. 250-450K

Starwood- Gated neighborhood with Darling & Huntington builders & also custom estate homes. 400k-2Mill. There is a community center, tennis & pool. Many neighborhood events for kids & adults!

Lonestar Ranch is a great master plan with a large club house, work out center & resort pools for adults and kid sections with 25 ft water slide.

The Trails as mentioned is fantastic-2 on site elem schools, 2 community pools and a very active HOA .. a party every night somewhere!

Frisco is sports city..from FTC Soccer, to Roughriders Baseball & Stars Hockey (training) center and a fantastic Stonebriar Mall!

If family life is a priority I would recommend go just a little further north and looking at Savannah or Providence. Very nice family communities.

Thanks everyone. I love everything Frisco has to offer but, my only concern is resale. We will probably only be staying for 3-5 years. We are still considering Flower Mound.
