I tend to agree with that. As long as the high is 100 or in the low 100's I think it is much more comfortable - due to the lower humidity - than our normal 95. When it gets to 106 (41C), then it's not so nice.

It very rarely gets that hot though.

The past few years we have had reasonably mild summers. Hot but not that bad. Not record breakers. We occasionally have brutally hot summers (what was the record - some 70 or so days over 100?) One year we had something like 30 days in a row over 100. When it gets that hot, for that long everyone really suffers. Either directly from the heat or financially from the A/C bills (or both).

I love August!

(Then again, I have a shaded pool to relax in.)

Late July: We're almost done
August: Just kidding! Good God, it is still so hot.
September: Wait, why is it still 95?
October: I cant put my pumpkins outside because they rot in the heat

At least in the second half of September it starts to cool down more at night.
