We did have some at my Apartment Complex in McKinney a few years back. Police upped patrols, Management did a good job of getting the offending people out. Been OK since, but that did put a huge concern in everyone's mind. Normally it is a very quiet, safe feeling place.

I think Bridgeport is worse than Hartford. But Newark really takes the cake. I went to grad school there in early 90's and in the summertime you hear gunshots almost every night. And often about an hour later you hear the sirens. If you venture out into some of the busier streets in the HOOD at night you see kids everywhere.

Heard of numerous incidents of whole city Buses getting held up. Very frequent incidents of 14 and 15 yr old kids stealing cars and joyriding b/c the police have a no chase policy. Often kids will show off to their friends and dare the cops to chase almost teasing them b/c they know as soon as they do anything crazy with the stolen car the cops have to stop immediately. Very sad situation.
