Default vision homes savannah

can anyone tell me about vision homes and the savannah project. I am concerned, after visiting the website, about the taxes, cost of water and utilities, and insurance. Does the arrangement with the government bodies that provide these services result in higher fees and insurance rates. I am still in the early stages of researching a potential relocation.

You do not want to move into an unincorporated part of town. The subdivision is not a part of a municipality, etc. There is no police protection except for Sheriffs. The taxes are whatever the Fresh Water District deems is appropriate. All taxation, water rates, etc. are decided by the board of the Water District. I personally, would never move into an unincorporated area that is not part of a municipality.

I live in a Vision Home in Savannah and I'm happy with everything. My house is one floor, about 1750 square feet. The taxes to the county are about $3,500 per year (2% of $170,000), the cost for water, sewer, garbage, etc, is about $85/month. This includes enhanced fire protection. We have a couple of sheriffs deputies assigned to Savannah. We have our own elementary school in Savannah. Homeowner dues are about $750 per year. Oh yes, gas and electricity work out to about $200 per month for my house, sometimes less.

The good thing about living in a freshwater district instead of a municipality is that the housing designs are much more diverse, and there are no artificial building requirements such as brick on one side of the house. I really despise the brick boxes that seem to be built in to every muni's codes, and the Savannah and Providence designs are very unique in the Dallas area.

Vision Homes does not honor their 2 year warrenty. Their AC people have been out more than 12 times and have actually miswired our unit twice and then because they couldnt fix the problem they decided to void the warrenty. We had to pay someone else to fix part of the problem and it turns out our unit is too small for our home. We have had four other companies out and invited Vision homes to be present for the evaluation which the refused. Now we are paying for another unit to be added. They are terrible. BEWARE!!!!

Default Vision Homes Corporate number

I have trying to contact Vision homes regarding my warranty since last September. Does anyone have the corporate number for Vision or a number for Woodhaven homes?

I was also trying to get Vision to look at a couple things that should have been under warranty. I just told about 2 - 3 weeks ago, that Vision Homes is no longer in operation. So we have to go through either Woodhaven (they owned Vision), or go through the warranty company that is in that folder that they gave you when yo bought the house. I haven't tried yet, but will real soon. If I find out more I can post it here. If you find out more, can you do the same?

Vision is no longer in business, they were owned by Woodhaven and bankrupt as far as I know. I would stick with DR Horton out there. DR Horton is a stable company and will be around when you need warranty work done. The best rep to deal with in Savannah is Melinda Eberhart. Please tell her that Amy Underwood sent you there. You might also want to look at Paloma Creek. The homes are all brick and builders are reputable.

Yes if I find out anything I will let you know. I have the warranty with Vision. Now I am trying to get in touch with WoodHaven or just confirm that they are bankrupt
