I am currently in a month to month agreement with a property management co.my rent went up a 150.00 without a signed lease. Now new management co takes over and wants me to sign a new lease if not my rent will go up another 190.00 a month is this legal.

Yes, it's legal. You aren't currently on a term lease so they can raise your rent whatever they want whenever they want.

Just as you can move out with notice, they can change your rent with notice.

This is typical. You reduce their risk with signing a lease....so they give you a discount.

That's what happens when you go month to month. You lose the price protection of a longer term lease.
