Spring is right around the corner so the time for all to start exploring our beautiful metro is just about here. I think I took these pictures last spring...

Son of a gun! We just got back from Cedar Hill SP. Not a lot of people on a Sunday afternoon and besides, it was sort of cool. It is a special place if you like to camp, fish, hike or mountain bike. Although the trails were closed today due to the wet weather we've been having. Buy the annual pass because you'll use it often especially if you are going to live right near there. It'll pay for itself fast. And the pass is good for all the state parks in Texas. Just Google Maps or Google Earth "75104" and take the virtual tour!

Cedar ridge preserve, cedar mountain preserve, big cedar wilderness trail on Mountain Church, and over-look look-out is on the lake parking lot are all free nature areas.

We hiked Cedar Ridge Preserve a few weekends back. Lots of trails of varying lengths. Kids really like "exploring" out there.
